Thank you very much for your response.
I've been noticed on this solution (after search in the forum) but as all this is a little bit complicated for an non computerfreak person I would prefer a more easy to approach setting. Plus, been able to set a "neutral period" is helpful in general when IR switches are used as it is common to have accidentally activated switches before the expected activation.
If this modification/update is really a trouble, we can live with what is offered, the software is great anyway.

Hello and congratulation for such a great (and cheap!) s/ware. I need the same for some dog activity where the dog activates the sensor with his head or front feet and reactivates it with his tail or rear feet. About 2 secs (why not be able to make as the user wishes?) would be great.

Well, I need this for a "race" with a wheelbarrow.

When I place the IR sensor in about 15cm height, then with this wheelbarrow and the person behind it pass the IR sensor "several times"...
This is why I wanted to extend this time to make sure there is no wrong measuremt or start and stop when not wanted.
1or2 seconds should be fine...

I hope this makes it clearer....

Can you define exaclty in which sequence I have to set up the ini file so that I can modify this time and how the program will take it?
In another post I was asking for this sequence, but it is still unclear to me:
When I change the External setting to my wishes and then close the whole program, then change the ini file and then start the program again: Will the external settings then still be correct?
Cause when I open it it is back to none....

Thanks for your patience with my :-)
and for your support and help!

BR Ingo

How often and why?

Skip contact Bounce

Hello from Germany!

First of all thanks for this Great Software!
I was looking for such a Kind of Software for Hours on the net and happy to find it!

I need this for a hobby project: getting the time for children car race.
But there is one issue I hope somebody can help me with:

I'm using a IR sensor with a mechanical relais.
When the kids pass the IR line, then sometimes the contact is is there more then once and the time just stops after it starts.
This means I need to increase the skip contact bounce.... But the time I can set up in the program is not long enough.
I found the info in the forum to change the ini.... But anyway I need to open this window to enable the external control....

Can sombebody help me here!
I would need a bounce time of about 1-2 seconds...

Thank you Guys!!!

BR from Germany
Ingo
