Removing Vista-style border

I'm running XNote Stopwatch on Vista, and for some reason, most of the time, the Aero glass border appears around the clock (as shown in the picture below) rather than there being no border like how it's shown on the site. How do I remove the glass border so that it appears similarly to how it appears on the site?

How it currently looks, with the border I'm trying to get rid of:

Vista/7 overrides the border. Screenshots are from XP.

Here is a workaround:
xnsw.zip
XNote with visual styles turned off

But the best possible solution (I think so) is a styled Windows's borders in XNote's background color. Unfortunately Windows allows to draw its own UI elements in system colors only. Let me know if you know software which have Windows's UI elements in arbitrary colors.

BTW, what's this funny font? :)

That worked; thank you!

The font is called "Eggcrate" and is based on old-style game show score/timer displays. This and a whole bunch of other similar fonts are from here: http://www.qwizx.com/gameshows/dfg/dfg.html
