photo finish setup

Unread postby robertcoach » Fri May 30, 2014 6:32 pm

Hi, I would like to know if you still have a version that works with Camstudio and witch version of Camstudio works with Xnote?
Or do you have a better option?
Is there a software that can do reel photo finish picture with a normal camcorder?
Thank you
Robert

Many links doesn't works (xnsw_1.6.plus-), is your 1.67 supposed to work with CamStudio ? or it has to be the xnsw_1.6.plus ?

Best regards

Hi, yes your 1.67 works with CamStudio 2.72 when enable external control in effect options in CamStudio, we can see the Xnote time stamp in the recording file.
My problem is that I get the snap time for the current moment but not the previous ones for example: On the stamp, I have 00:00:12.440 and on the second line 53.375x-53.545x-00.421x- why I don’t see the previous times like 8.103 - 9.195- 11.566 Thank, Robert

Yes very good it's working!
With MotionAlerter.exe and CamStudio, it’s a very good backup system for manual timing finish. I setup a webcam that point the finish line and when athletes cross the line, MotionAlerter active the recording of the screen by Camstudio and collect the time from Xnote. When I missed the finish, I can go back to the recorded video of the screen to look at the time and the picture of the finish line has each athlete cross the line with descend precision, better than no times.

Thank you

I was wondering if I do something wrong but with the xnxw.zip you give me, when I close the xnote, and restart the xnote I always have the masage that xnote is not linked to excel file even if the file is open when I start xnote.

Try to launch XNote with elevated credentials.

Hi, it didn't work. I use a .bat file with:
start "" "C:\Program Files (x86)\XNote Stopwatch\xnsw.exe" /c=xnsw11.ini
and in my xnsw11.ini I have:
[ExcelIntegration]
Worksheet=time xnote.xls::temps
Cell=A2
InsertValue=2

Any more idea of what I do worng? is it the .bat file or ?
