Yes. Tested on my computer. It's better to assign key, that you do not use regularly(for example - middle key).

It is only one cursor on desktop, but controlled from two devices. No conflicts occur during experiment

I did as you said, connected a simple switch to the pins as in the diagram, but nothing happened. I did check the enable box etc.

Make sure your COM port in functional.
