It must blink every second by exchanging background and digits colors. What is your OS? Try the most recent release.

Most of software requires admin rights in order to be installed. They are not necessary to run. Here is a executable to run in-place viewtopic.php?f=3&t=900

avoid blinking timer

Unread postby rossini » Thu May 27, 2010 2:30 pm

Hi Dev team,

great software, but it almost killed my job.

I had my boss ("Don't hassle me with all that technical details. It needs to work"-type) use this software on his notebook for his presentations.

All worked well till I updated this software to v1.6... He called me earlier today from a conference he was attending and told me that the cordless presenter stopped working after the timer reached zero.

He was very angry with me and told me to fix this as soon as possible!

I simulated the situation and discovered the following:

Clock is configured to:
- work as a countdown timer
- be in compact mode
- not display any milliseconds
- be started via pre-saved configuration files which allow to set-up different speaker times
- start/pause on STRG-S key-stroke
- play a short full-screen blinking program which ends itself after execution - when the clock hits zero.

He starts the countdown timer, then starts PowerPoint... all went well with v1.4 (without the countdown clock blinking feature).

Problem: When XNote Stopwatch countdown clock hits zero, the timer starts blinking (apart from any other user-defined behaviour). When it does so, Stopwatch catches the focus as active application !!! So, the cordless presenter key strokes do not reach PowerPoint any longer. This behaviour is different from previous versions.

I could fix his situation by activating the "addionally close program" feature of the countdown clock, but I cannot run the start forward count mode any longer.

Is there a way to totally avoid that BLINKING of the countdown clock. Please do me a favour and add this feature to future versions or at least provide a registry hack or something.

Thank you in advance,

Oliver Rosenkranz
